Ping Pong Project
For my groups physics of sports video, we chose to research and find the physics of hitting a ping pong ball. We created a video explaining the different aspects of hitting a ping pong ball using physics. We filmed our video and edited it heavily to make it appealing. We integrated calculations and physics in order to help improve the performance of a ping pong player. We used slow motion video to find the velocity of the ball and calculations to find other aspects of the balls movement.

Reflection
During this project, I took orders from my group mates and did whatever they told me and I was on track for almost all of it and stayed with my group and didn't socialize with others. I did my part filming the video and doing the voice overs. During editing, my group had a better understanding than me of what they were doing and they did most of that but I feel I learned a lot from watching them and that I could recreate what they did and even make improvements. Next time I would try to step up more and do more editing and work on the computer. Our group was off track for the first couple days but we soon focused and got all of our work done quickly and well.

Content
Force of Impact- (mv=Ft) the force of an impact- the force involved in the collision with the paddle and the ping pong ball.
Momentum- (p=mv) tendency of a moving object to keep moving- the momentum and the force needed to stop and redirect the ball.
Impulse- (J=Ft) how long and forcefully something is pushed- the time and effort exerted when hitting the ball.
Vertical velocity- (ag*t=Vvert) velocity of an object up and down- the speed of the up and down movement of the ping pong ball.
Horizontal velocity- (Dhoriz*t=Vhoriz) velocity of a horizontally moving object- the sideways speed of the ball
Total velocity- vector of horizontal and vertical motion using Pythagorean theorem- the total speed of the ball
